Welcome to the Department of Physical Education at JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida. Physical Education is an integral part of educational programme designed to promote the optimum development of an individual. It makes one emotionally, mentally and physically strong. The primary aims of physical education have varied, based on the needs of the time and place. Sport is commonly defined as an organized, competitive and skillful physical activity requiring commitment and fair play.
We are very proud to be a part of an institute which has carved a niche in various Sports Activities. The Office is housed in the multipurpose hall. It provides indoor and outdoor sports facilities for students. The Department firmly believe that Sports not only provides entertainment but also helps embedding students with life skills which would help them throughout their lives. Sports today cannot be seen just as a form of physical activity but an engagement which helps in adding value and building character in students. .
Department of Physical Education aims at all-round development of the student’s personality through sports activities. Presently department has 2 staff members. It has required infrastructure to enhance the sports activities like cricket, basketball, volleyball, football, athletics, Badminton, Table Tennis, Carom and Chess. The sports department actively organises Inter department sports activities & Annual Sports meet annually. It takes pride in successfully organizing Dr. A.P.J AKTU Zonal Level Sports Fest as per AKTU guidelines. State of art sports facilities are provided that make the department in hosting selection, training and practice sessions for college teams. Sports events for faculty at college & inter collegiate level are also organized.
