Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, the 23rdPontiff of Sri Jagadguru Veerasimhasana Suttur Math, is the architect and founder of JSS Mahavidyapeetha (JSSMVP) which came into being in 1954 has witnessed enormous growth in the field of education.
A young child who joins a JSS Institution seeking education may go on to become a scientist or an engineer, or a technologist or a doctor or a philosopher. JSSMVP thus has all the facilities that shape the youngster into a good citizen of the country.
Under the leadership of the present pontiff, the 24thPeetadhayaksha, Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, the JSSMVP has not only established educational institutions in places where necessary, but it has also made sure that all these institutions impart quality education. Engineering, Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, and Law Colleges run by JSSMVP are reputed to be the best educational institutions of their kind in the country. JSSMVP has expanded its jurisdiction by establishing another Mahavidyapeetha at Ghaziabad, UP, which is running an Engineering College, JSSATE, and Public School in Noida. JSSATE is one of the leading technical education institutions in the NCR in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

1) BACHELOR OF PHARMACY - 4 YEAR DEGREE PROGRAM
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION
Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M) and or Biology (P.C.B/P.C.M.B) as optional subjects individually. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India is equivalent to any of the above examinations.
A pass in D. Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
The course of study for B.Pharm shall extend over eight semesters (four academic years) and six semesters (three academic years) for lateral entry students. The curricula and syllabi for the program shall be as prescribed from time to time by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
2) DIPLOMA OF PHARMACY - 2 YEARS DIPLOMA PROGRAM
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION
Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination with P.C.M and or P.C.B/P.C.M.B. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
The course of study for D. Pharm shall extend over a period of two academic years.
Details of Lab facilities
PHARMACEUTICS LAB :- This lab specifically focused to provide the practical exposures to the budding pharmacist for the basic understanding of pre-formulation study, formulation and evaluation of the different dosage forms. The lab is equipped with all the facilities to conduct the experiments as per syllabus.
PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY LAB :- This lab is designed to carried out the testing and identification of various inorganic and organic compounds, synthesis and purification of chemical compounds with proper understanding of mechanism and reaction aspects. The lab is equipped with apparatus like magnetic stirrer, hot plate, hot air oven, heating mantle and fume hood to ensure working in safe environment.
The lab also focused for the analysis of biological samples like urine, blood, sugars, amino acids, cholesterol, fats. It is well equipped with modern equipment like centrifuge and UV spectrophotometer for conduct the experiments as per syllabus.
HUMAN ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY (HAP) LAB :- This subject is designed to impart fundamental knowledge on the structure and functions of the various systems of human body. During the course of study, the students understand the detailed anatomy and physiology of various organs of the human body. Experiments for blood count, hemoglobin measurement, blood group, blood pressure and tidal volume estimation are conducted. The laboratory is equipped with instruments, apparatus, models and charts to demonstrate the physiology and anatomy of various body structures of human body.
PHARMACEUTICAL ANALYSIS LAB :- The lab is specifically designed for the students to study various analytical methods like titration, conductometry, potentiometry, limit tests and the principles of volumetric and electro chemical analysis. The lab is equipped with modern equipment like conductometer, potentiometer, pH meter, and UV spectrophotometry to develop analytical skills of the students.
PHARMACOGNOSY LAB :- The main purpose of Pharmacognosy lab is to impart the students the knowledge of plant drugs, Mineral and Marine sources of crude drugs. Also, this subject involves the study of producing the plants and phytochemicals through plant tissue culture, drug interactions and basic principles of traditional system of medicine. However, in Pharmacognosy the students supposed to know the modern extraction techniques, characterization and identification of the herbal drugs and phytoconstituents, and to understand the preparation and development of herbal formulation, understand the herbal drug interactions and also to carryout isolation and identification of phytoconstituents.
COMPUTER LAB :- This lab design to introduce the Database, Database Management system, computer application in clinical studies and use of databases for designing and understanding of basic computer skill in Pharmacy.
