Team OCTAVIUS is an interdisciplinary team of 30-32 innovative and enthusiastic minds running under "Department of Mechanical Engineering".The team had a simple goal of making the Best Formula Vehicle possible within the guidelines set by our Event Organizers "ISIE (Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers)" while remaining within a fixed budget that was self-funded by team members. This year the team had fabricated an Electric Vehicle powered through Lithium ion batteries and driven by a 6 kW motor. The team has secured first position in North India and Eigth in Overall India ranking during Virtual round. It has secured first position pan India in " ELECTRIC category of HVC-18" in dynamic round.

Beat the Weight: 12 playing cards, 2 A4s, 6 straws, 12 pins, Fevicol and 100 kg of weight to beat. If you are engineer enough to take on the challenge come Beat the Weight. Make structure to bear maximum weight from the given objects. This is your chance not only to experience the adventure, but also demonstrate your innovation and intelligence. So put on your thinking caps and start preparing. Of course, as you will learn. It’s all about fun. And here is a tip “Don’t take load”.

Efficycle: Efficycle is an intercollegiate design competition for under-graduate and post-graduate engineering students where teams have to design and fabricate an energy efficient hybrid human powered- three wheeled-electric vehicle. The vehicle must be aerodynamic, highly engineered, safe and ergonomically designed. The design should be commercially viable as a product and should be attractive to the consumers because of its visual appearance, performance, reliability and ease of operation. The Competition includes designing, fabricating and validating a three wheeled vehicle driven by two drivers. Vehicle must be driven simultaneously as well as alternatively by two drivers and also simultaneously or alternatively on electricity. The vehicle was evaluated for its design, performance, durability and the team competed against more than 200 other teams.

Team Invictus was formed in February 2013 with 10 members guided by a faculty advisor. The design phase consisted of identifying vehicle level design targets and reaching a design to meet the requirements. The design was evaluated in the virtual round held on 5th July 2013 at Jamia Millia Islamia University Delhi. The qualified among the top 80 teams selected for the final round from more than 200 teams.

The fabrication phase was started in August 2013 and various parts were fabricated and assembled within the college premises by the team. The fabricated vehicle was tested at UIET, Chandigarh in the final round of Effi-Cycle held in October 2013.
