Image Processing, Analysis & Retrieval

Content-based image retrieval (CBIR) is a new but widely adopted method for finding images from vast and unannotated image databases. As the network and development of multimedia technologies are becoming more popular, users are not satisfied with the traditional information retrieval techniques. So nowadays the content based image retrieval (CBIR) is becoming a source of exact and fast retrieval. It is a field of research that is having several applications in crime prevention, medicine, architecture and publishing.Various clustering techniques such as hierarchical, k-means are available for efficient retrieval.

Cloud Computing

Research which indicates a high attractiveness and impact perspective of distributed systems for logistics services in order to cope with the growing demand of cloud computing. Logistics management system can be regarded as a type of distributed information management system, for which cloud computing fully supports its development. In today‘s business environment, cloud computing is an inevitable option for the organization to provide goods and services to the customer.

Software Engineering

Research focus is on Software Reengineering and Refactoring. Research focuses on improving different software attributes such as: high availability, traceability, reusability, readability, performance and scalability. Application of different refactoring techniques to improve different code smells, application of recognizable design patterns for improving refactoring and program transformations. Other related areas are programming languages, algorithms, code optimization, code complexity, aspect oriented programming.
