Computer Society of India (CSI) formed in the year 1965 is one of the largest IT Professionals' Societies in India. The objective of the CSI is scientific and educational advancement in the theoretical and practical aspects of Computer Science and Engineering. It also facilitates holding meetings for presentation and discussion of professional papers, conferences, workshops and seminars.
CSI Student Branch was inaugurated at JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida on 25th February 2014. Ever-since its inception, various workshops and lectures on topics such as Mobipreneur, IT Trends and Linux Operating System, competitions and quizzes on C Programming, Mobile App Development and Basics of IT have been organized.
The Nibble Computer Society is formed by students of CSE and IT working under the guidance of faculty. It is the oldest students' society of the Institution. NCS organizes workshops, seminars and contests in order to inculcate technical and creative skills among the students. It is also actively involved in the design, development and maintenance of systems such as info-center, library system and the mail server. Students of CSE and IT have formed an open club - Google Developer Group . GDGs were started by Google as a part of their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) to spread awareness about the latest developments in technology. GDGs are for developers who are interested in Google's developer technology; everything from the Android, App Engine, and Google Chrome platforms, to product APIs like the Maps API, YouTube API and Google Calendar API. This group organizes workshops and lightning talks on Google technologies - APIs, SDKs, Web technologies, Platforms(Android), Programming languages, services(app engine) and so on.
QUANTA is a part of departmental association, the main motto of Quanta is to develop a hands on technical knowledge that encourages a person to move on with logical aptitude and to have a good command over Robotics, Embedded system and circuit problem solving.

OPTIMISTS is the student society of Association of Department of Computer Applications in JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida. It supports students to cope with rapidly changing trends and technologies in IT world. It provides students a platform to work as a team for learning, managing, training, organizing, enjoying and studying.
In UPTU MCA, majority of students are usually of non-IT backgrounds like B.Sc., B. Com and B.A. They do lack in knowledge of computer fundamentals and as this is a professional post graduate course in-depth mastery of computing skills needs coverage beyond syllabus and in extra hours. They have to start with studying programming languages when they are struggling with word editors.
