  • JSS Mahavidyapeetha

    JSS Mahavidyapeetha was established in the year 1954. The Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara Mahavidyapeetha has been described by many eminent educationists as greater than a University, because under its aegis a child can begin its education in the kindergarten and proceed to earn a degree as well as a doctorate in several branches of learning. Simultaneously the Mahavidyapeetha has not neglected to strengthen the roots of our ancient knowledge, wisdom and culture and their application in the day-to-day life. Sanskrit Pathashalas, Yoga Kendras, Spiritual Retreats, Gurukulas, Art and Cultural forums are doing this work. Today the Mahavidyapeetha has grown into a center of learning that guides more than 350 institutions spread throughout Karnataka, neighboring Tamil Nadu and also in the far Uttar Pradesh. Every year thousands of aspirants of education and knowledge join the fold of the Mahavidyapeetha. Distinguished national leaders including the first President of India, Dr. Babu Rajendra Prasad, the former President Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, Former Prime Minister Sri Atal Behari Vajpayee have visited JSS and paid rich tribute to services rendered by the Mahavidyapeetha.

    JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida (JSSATEN) is one of the leading Technical Institutions in the NCR in the State of Uttar Pradesh. Established in the year 1998 by JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Noida, the Institution has set benchmarks every year, and grown into an Institution of Excellence in Technical Education. The Institution has MOUs with Colorado Heights University, Denver, USA for student exchange program. IBM Centre of Excellence, Texas Instruments Centre of Excellence, Nokia Mobile Innovation Labs, e-Yantra - Embedded & Robotics Lab funded by MHRD under NMEICT, PLMCC, Schneider Electric Substation Automation Labs and Centre for Innovation & Design are additional facilities for the students to innovate new ideas.   • Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering

    The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is the youngest department at JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida, established in the academic year 2014 with an intake of 60. It holds pride in equipping the young minds with a curriculum in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the undergraduate level which lays a strong foundation of basic and advanced Electrical and Electronic Engineering concepts. In addition to theoretical education, hands on experience are imparted to the budding engineers with the help of state-of-the-art laboratories.
    From creation of systems to provide power for homes and industry, the department makes an impact in the quality of life world-wide. As proficient engineers, the students of Electrical and Electronics Engineering will have a strong background in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, a broad base in the humanities and social sciences, as well as introductory engineering coursework. The program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering encompasses all areas of research, development, design, and operation, in the field of powering our world from renewable energy sources, creation of electronic devices, Power electronic circuits to drive robots and electric vehicles, Communications and signal processing. The graduates are equipped to undertake important and challenging positions in industries, academia and research.   • Department of Electrical Engineering

    The Department of Electrical Engineering has been playing a vital role in producing technologists of highest calibre ever since it was established in the year 1999. The department has state-of- the-art laboratories in the area of Electrical Engineering such as Electrical Drives, Electrical Machines, Basic Electrical, Simulation Lab, Control & Automation, Power System & Power Electronics etc. In addition to the strong undergraduate programmes, the department has been playing a pioneering role in interacting with the outer world institutions and industries to motivate the students to perform at global level. The department has EMERSON Centre of Excellence and has signed an MOU with Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited for setting up and maintaining the Power System Automation and Energy Management state of the art laboratory. This helps the students to upgrade their skills as per the requirement of the industry and thus fulfilling the gaps between academicians and industry. The faculty members of the department consistently carries out research on many cutting edge technologies and regularly publishes their research work in various National/International Journals and Conferences of repute. The Electrical Engineering Department is accredited by NBA.

Smart Energy Systems and Technology offer promises to enhance the operational efficiency of nationwide energy and power supplies via distributed generation with bi-directional energy and electricity flow. This objective is achieved by allowing intelligent monitoring and control of different components within the distribution and transmission lines as well as other systems from utilities of natural gas, thermal energy, electricity, and water on the one side to the end user on the other side, while maintaining the energy and power quality, security, reliability and safety with minimum environmental impacts. Governments around the world are investing heavily in smart energy systems to ensure optimum energy use and supply, enable better planning for outage responses and recovery, and facilitate the integration of heterogeneous technologies such as renewable energy systems, electrical vehicle networks, and smart homes around the grid. Smart energy systems present enormous engineering challenges in the design and integration of energy and electrical grids with communication and network technologies, along with substantial questions of security and privacy of different components within the grid.
