Computer society of India established in the year 1965 is today the largest IT professionals Society in India. The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science, computer engineering and technology, systems science and engineering, information processing and related arts and sciences.

Now the organization has grown to an evitable size of 30,000 members including software developers, Scientists, Academicians, .CIO’s, CTO’s & IT vendors. Currently CSI has branches all over the country and plans to open many more chapters and activity centers to spread the knowledge and provide opportunities to as many interested as possible. It shall endeavor to:

  1. Promote interchange of information, in these disciplines and sub-disciplines, amongst the specialists and between specialists and the public.
  2. Encourage and assist the professionals engaged in these fields to maintain the integrity and competence of the profession and foster a sense of partnership amongst the professionals, engaged in these fields.

CSI Student Branch was inaugurated at JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida on 25th February 2014. Prof. R.K. Vyas, Vice president Region-1 gave inaugural address and the chief guest Dr. Gulshan Rai Director General - ICERT, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology delivered the keynote address on "Cyber Space- Emerging Cyber Crimes and Threats". A CSI chapter is functioning in the college as a professional society for CS students exclusively. This student's chapter under the faculty advisor Mr.Vikas Srivastava, is organizing various programmes for the students from its inception.
